Is that GPTBot, or someone claiming to be? A user-agent string is a claim, not evidence.

A maintained AI-crawler user-agent list plus a weighted heuristic that turns a request into a verdict with a confidence, rather than a boolean from a substring match.
Substring matching on user-agent is the usual approach and it is both over- and under-inclusive: it flags a browser extension whose UA happens to mention a bot, and misses a crawler that rotates strings.
Separates what was CLAIMED from what can be CORROBORATED, because a user-agent is self-reported and treating it as identity is how a blocklist becomes theatre.

- publisher identity Publisher status verified; 1 verification(s) on file
- malicious pattern scan No known malicious-behavior patterns across 7 source file(s) plus listing text
- capability contract All 4 observed capability reference(s) match the declared manifest (4 declared as cited source(s), not contacted)
- agent safety scan No injection patterns in agent-readable content
- provenance No release signature or provenance attestation
- behavioral sandbox Not performed in this environment — requires the production isolated runner (docs/sandbox-requirements.md). No untrusted code is ever executed on the application host.
Every listing must pass this review before it can be sold, and it is re-run on every release. Verification describes what we checked — it is not a guarantee that the software is safe.
