Voice Confirm Gate

verified · first-partyactively maintained$0 during beta (was $59)

"nope, hang on, go ahead" contains the word yes. A naive confirm step hears the affirmative and does the thing.

Turn a spoken "yes" into an action ONLY WHEN IT REALLY WAS A YES, FOR THE RIGHT THING.

Turn a spoken "yes" into an action ONLY WHEN IT REALLY WAS A YES, FOR THE RIGHT THING.

A negation-first yes/no classifier, a token-and-prompt-keyed confirmation gate, and a shell-then-OS-automation quoting helper -- the three pieces a voice assistant's confirm step needs and a naive one almost always gets wrong. Zero runtime dependencies, pure Python standard library.

NEGATION WINS, WHEREVER IT LANDS:

classify_confirmation("nope, hang on, go ahead") -> DENIED

A substring search for an affirmative finds "go ahead" and fires. The utterance says the opposite. Speech is full of self-correction, and the correction usually comes FIRST -- which is exactly the order a keyword match gets backwards.

THE GATE IS KEYED TO THE PROMPT, not just to a session. A "yes" that arrives after the assistant has moved on confirms the NEW question, and the user answered the old one. Binding the confirmation to the token and the prompt it belongs to makes a stale yes expire rather than approve something nobody was asked about.

AND THREE OUTCOMES, NOT TWO: AFFIRMED, DENIED, AMBIGUOUS. An unclear utterance re-asks instead of resolving to a default -- because the default is what turns a mumble into an executed action.

Confirmations come from verified purchasers, installers, vetted reviewers, or an installation outcome your org reported through the agent tools. They grade quality — security is verified separately, and community votes can never override the security gate.
